Debunking Savarkar Myths

 Veer Savarkar or Coward Savarkar?
The title "Veer" was accredited to him in a biography of Savarkar, titled "The life of Veer Savarkar" written by Chitragupta.
Who was Chitragupta?
Chitragupta was the pseudonym used by Savarkar himself to write his own biography..

Oh boy, caught you lying.

Savarkar never incited violence? Let me explain.

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, in one of his books Six Glorious Epochs of Indian History clearly explains why raping of Muslim women is justifiable and not to do so when the occasion permits is not virtuous or chivalrous but cowardly.
(See Chapter VIII of the online edition made available by Mumbai-based Swatantryaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak)

Savarkar explains at length that Hindus in the past had suffered from a suicidal (para 452) sense of virtuousness and chivalry in showing mercy towards Muslim women by letting them off easily. He gives examples (para 450) of such famous figures as Chhatrapati Shivaji who reportedly let off the daughter in law of Muslim governor of Kalyan and Peshwa Chimaji Apte who similarly allowed the wife of Portuguese governor of Bassein to leave unscathed.

A patriot or a traitor?

Good question.

On sailing to Great Britain to study law in 1906, Savarkar founded the Free India Society to organise Indian students studying in Great Britain to fight for independence.

But what happened after he was convicted and sent to kalapani? He wrote his first mercy petition in just less than two months of serving terms. He wrote 6 mercy petition and promised to stay loyal and sabotage indian freedom struggle which he did.

In 1941, taking advantage of the World War, Bose had begun raising an army to fight the British by recruiting Indian prisoners of war from the British army held by the Axis powers - efforts which eventually culminated in his invasion of British India with the help of the Japanese military.

During this period, addressing the Hindu Mahasabha session at Bhagalpur in 1941. Savarkar told his followers:

".. it must be noted that Japan's entry into the war has exposed us directly and immediately to the attack by Britain's enemies...Hindu Mahasabhaites must, therefore, rouse Hindus especially in the provinces of Bengal and Assam as effectively as possible to enter the military forces of all arms without losing a single minute."

In reciprocation, the British commander-in-chief, "expressed his grateful appreciation of the lead given by Barrister Savarkar in exhorting the Hindus to join the forces of the land with a view to defend India from enemy attacks," according to Hindu Mahasabha archives.

In response to the Quit India Movement launched in August 1942, Savarkar instructed Hindu Sabhaites who were

"members of municipalities, local bodies, legislatures or those serving in the army.. to stick to their posts," across the country. At that time, when Japan had conquered many Southeast Asian countries in India's vicinity, Bose was making arrangements to go from Germany to Japan

- from whose occupied territories the INA's assault on British forces was launched in October the following year.

It was under these circumstances that Savarkar not only instructed those serving in the British army to stick to their posts', but had also been involved for years in "organisation recruitment camps for the British armed forces which were to slaughter the cadres of INA in different parts of North-East later." In one year alone. Savarkar had boasted in Madura, one lakh Hindus were recruited into the British armed forces as a result of the Mahasabha's efforts.

Even though the British Army, with which Savarkar and the Hindu Mahasabha were collaborating managed to defeat Bose's INA, the subsequent public trials of INA officers at the Red Fort roused in the Indian soldiers of the British armed forces a political conscience, which played a crucial role in triggering the Royal Indian Naval Mutiny in 1946 (socialist uprising). after which the decision was made by the British to leave India. How dare you put the HSRA Members along side Savarkar.

Yashpal writes in his autobiography

'Sinhavalokan' that Savarkar agreed to give Rs. 50,000 but on the condition that Azad and HSRA fighters stop fighting the British and assassinate Jinnah and other Muslims!

In his another book 'Fighter for Freedom Writer for Justice,' Yashpal wrote on page number 72, "He (Vinayak Savarkar's elder brother also known as baba) did not refuse my request, but expressing his own viewpoint and purpose, he said, 'Our aim is to free the country from servitude to foreigners. Progress towards our nationhood is the purpose of freeing the country- that must be assured. If you take the responsibility of finishing him (Jinnah) off then the greatest obstacle on the path of freedom will be removed. And, for that I can arrange for a payment of Rs 50,000.

Hindustan Socialist Republic Army's heroes are one-liner for a reason. For being Communist.

In 1980s khalistanis tried to appropriate Bhagat Singh as a mere sikh martyr and failed miserably because there are enough materials he himself wrote to prove otherwise. Same goes with Chandrashekhar Azad.

And Savarkar is not in any freedom fighters league, but traitors.

Yeah, I am certainly having trouble to understand man who started out as a rationalist, freedom fighter who later turned out to be coward and religious maniac who called for retribution on muslim population for something happened like 300-400 years prior to his birth. Then plots Assassin of MK Gandhi. Later lying on court he never met Godse for over an year.

Because, after all, Savarkar was a poet
Because, after all Hitler was an artist.

Squid Game: Through Marxist perspective

“Everyone here has insurmountably large loans and stands at the precipice of life, Do you want to go home and live the rest of your life like garbage, being chased by creditors? Or do you want to grab this last opportunity, which we are presenting?” - an anonymous game organizer in a mask and pink uniform tells the assembled players in the first episode. The hit Korean show “Squid Game,” where working-class contestants are given a chance to win billions, or literally die trying. It also breathes life to an allegory of capitalism rooted in the alienation of the working class. Also, it never makes its action look glamorous. Squid Game is directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The core theme of the series is a group of contesters getting into battle royale style games to win prize money. The show tries to tell us how humans show their true nature when put in extreme situations. on the other hand, it also shows participants actualizing their most human powers — solidarity, tenderness, and empathy.

5 myths about Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)

1.  DPRK men are forced to have the same haircut / banned from having the same haircut as Kim Jong Un Back in 2014 the BBC and other news outlets wrote an article on  North Korean university students ordered to have Kim Jong Un’s haircut . It was with no surprise that the quirkiness and obscureness of the topic help spread this rumour like a wildfire on the internet with all sorts of memes coming out of the woodwork. Tourists travelling in North Korea at the time quickly debunked this which numerous mainstream newspapers were backing their stories from an unknown source within the DPRK.  2. Only elites and military personnel are allowed to have vehicles so traffic is non-existent! Prior to 2010 traffic in North Korea was incredibly low. There used to be few taxis, a handful of vans & trucks, and lots of busses back then. Demand for taxis grew as public transport infrastructure is lacking, and as the local economy grew – so does the number of drivers! Although traffic in Pyongyang h
